Description:

After introducing the Kingdom Alliance between the church and the Holy Spirit, Jesus revealed the hatred that Alliance will face when it bears witness of Him to a hostile world. But exactly what will that witness entail? In this passage, Jesus gently reprimands His disciples for their self-centered sorrow and their failure to ask Him sincerely what lies ahead. Then, in an often-misunderstood statement, Jesus reveals the Holy Spirit cannot come until some of the most glorious aspects of His Witness are completed. We will carefully consider what Jesus means by these enigmatic words and realize that if we are going to properly bear witness about Jesus we must tell the whole story of the Gospel. Ultimately, with Scripture as our guide, we will attempt to do just that-- as succinctly as we can, to share the whole Gospel and thereby express the essential witness about Jesus the Christ.
