Description:

After a confrontation with His brothers that highlighted the divine ordering of the seasons of His life, Jesus makes His way to Jerusalem for a dramatic arrival midway through the Feast of Booths. Almost immediately He is embroiled in controversy and opposition. As we look at just the first few verses of the discourse that follows, Jesus explains to the skeptical Jews that His knowledge comes directly from the Father. In doing so, He describes a self-perpetuating relationship between belief, obedience, knowledge, love and God's glory: obedience that leads to knowledge that leads to love that bolsters faith that repeats itself in a never-ending circle of sanctification that brings glory to the Father. We will analyze this relationship and ultimately discover what the true believer's part is in the function of these circles of glory.
