Description:

When the wizards of Babylon cannot determine the content of Nebuchadnezzar's dream, he becomes outraged and sentences all of the empire's wise men to death. When first confronted with this brutal decree, Daniel keeps his head, stands on his impressive faith in God alone, and informs the king that his God will reveal to him the content of the king's dream. He then turns to his faith community (his three companions) and together they beseech God in prayer to reveal the dream. God answers their prayers with power and wisdom and gives Daniel the dream in a night vision. Daniel then responds with a beautiful hymn of thanksgiving and praise. After enjoying the details of this great biblical story, we will notice the way Daniel confronts the impossible challenge before him. First, he turned to God in complete faith for the solution, then he bathed the need in prayer, and finally he praised and thanked God for His mercy when the prayer was answered. We will study this as a model every Christian should follow to strengthen their relationship with God through Christ. We will find that the "proof of the pudding" is the degree to which we turn to Christ when we face the challenges and tests of life.
