Description:

Delivered during the Sunday morning worship service, 04/12/2020. When Mary Magdalene stared into the empty tomb, she saw an amazing site: two angels on either side of the place Jesus had lain, with His blood-stained grave clothes between them. The image is not only the essence of what we celebrate on Easter-- the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it is also a symbolic representation of the culmination of all Redemptive History. For it represents the fulfillment of what God established 1500 years earlier when He gave Moses the designs for the Tabernacle. Although you might not have noticed it, John has organized his Gospel to take us on a meticulously and symbolically ordered tour of the ancient Tabernacle, from the front gates to the Holy of holies. We will rejoice as we see Jesus become and replace each artifact of worship until we witness the profoundly dramatic conclusion in the glory of the empty tomb
