"Learning to apply Heaven's realities to the "tombs" of our lives."
Recorded on: Sunday, 04/05/2026 at 10:00 AM
Description:
Delivered during the Sunday Morning Worship Service, 4/5/2026. In this Easter Sunday message we will return to our study of Luke's Gospel, and appropriately launch into the first scene of His Resurrection narrative. It is early dawn and a group of women approach the tomb where Jesus had been laid, with the intent to properly prepare His dead body for burial. Because they were living entirely within their own reality, they are expecting to find a sealed tomb occupied by a corpse. But much to their amazement, they found an empty tomb and two dazzling heavenly messengers who seemed to be equally surprised at their misguided intent. We will explore the profound collision between two "realities"-- that of fallen humanity and that of the citizens of heaven. We will realize the superiority of a reality that accepts the supernatural, lives in the presence of God, and believes and follows Jesus' words with absolute fidelity. Ultimately on this Resurrection Day, we will celebrate the glorious Resurrection realities the angels came to proclaim: "He is not here! He is risen!"
